Paroxysm of orgasm:


Defined: a sudden attack or vioelnt expression of a particular emotion or activity. (beyond sharpened)(Orgasm) swell to ecstasy.
Coctail Party Banter: I was in a paroxysm of orgasm when I finally was able to write down my thoughts that had been gathering like clouds before the rain.
 Literary Context:
Anais Nin used this phrase in her book House of Incest  refering to her writing and getting the words onto paper. "A voice that had traversed the centuries so heavy it broke, what it touched so heavy I feared it would ring in me and with external resonance, a voice rusty with the sound of curses and the hoarse cries that issue from the delta in the last paroxysm of orgasm."

Literary COntext: 
I found the word in a book by Simon Reynolds "Retromania" Pop Culture's Addiction to Its Own Past.
 But even buying a CD gives me a strange frission; it feels like an enjoyable perverse act of swimming against the tide of history. pg 125.

Suspending Disbelief: Allowing the author to take you, the reader, on an imaginary flight with new rules and insights of behavior.(Speical Report)
Suspension of disbelief or willing suspension of disbelief is a term coined in 1817 by the poet and aesthetic philosopher Samuel Taylor Coleridge, who suggested that if a writer could infuse a "human interest and a semblance of truth" into a fantastic tale, the reader would suspend judgement concerning the implausibility of the narrative.
