Anais Nin used this phrase in her book House of Incest refering to her writing and getting the words onto paper. I found the word in a book by Simon Reynolds "Retromania" Pop Culture's Addiction to Its Own Past.
But even buying a CD gives me a strange frission; it feels like an enjoyable perverse act of swimming against the tide of history. pg 125.

Suspension of disbelief or willing suspension of disbelief is a term coined in 1817 by the poet and aesthetic philosopher Samuel Taylor Coleridge, who suggested that if a writer could infuse a "human interest and a semblance of truth" into a fantastic tale, the reader would suspend judgement concerning the implausibility of the narrative.
